The latest version of the best-selling Vauxhall Vivaro has been revealed with a host of new improvements. Both the diesel and electric versions have had a facelift, and the plan is to have both in production ready for sales by the end of the year.
The Vivaro is very much a case of “evolution not revolution” as it builds on the capabilities that made it popular, and then improves on these features with the addition of the latest technology.
For the first time, Vauxhall has added the Vizor front end to the Vivaro, which includes innovative lighting technology.
The new Vivaro boasts 18 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, including Dynamic Surround Vision which adds cameras to the rear of the vehicle, and a revamped cockpit with brand new infotainment systems.
A lot of focus has been placed on the new cockpit, which has been redesigned for driver comfort and convenience. All models now come with a new infotainment system with a digital 10-inch colour driver information centre and 10-inch colour touchscreen uses the integrated Snapdragon Cockpit platform from Qualcomm Technologies* and enables state-of-the-art graphics, multimedia and computer vision capabilities.
The new Vivaro Electric has an extended range on the previous version, now reaching 217 miles on a single 75kWh battery. Driving modes of Normal, Eco, and Power are available to optimise performance.
A range of engine options are available for the diesel variants, providing power from 120PS to 177PS.
Both diesel and electric versions are available in Prime and Pro trim levels, in L1 and L2 lengths, and as panel, double cabs, or as a platform chassis.
James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “Our best-selling Vauxhall Vivaro is now even more modern, practical and sustainable. With a newly updated digital cockpit and an extended electric driving range, the all-rounder is the heart of our LCV offensive. This means that every business can find the Vivaro best suited to its requirements.”
