According to sales and registrations figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT), the Vauxhall Combo is the best-selling small commercial vehicle of 2021 to date.
Vauxhall recorded 3,760 sales of the Vauxhall Combo Cargo small van in March, a successful response to the ongoing issues caused by Covid-19. With showrooms shut across the country, online sales are the primary method of interacting with customers. This has not dissuaded customers from seeking out new vans, and the Combo Cargo has taken a strong share of the new van market.
Sales are up by 45% year-on-year, reinforcing the message that light commercial vehicles are highly sought after in the current climate.
Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “We’ve seen strong LCV sales with the Combo number one in its segment and also high demand for our game-changing, all-electric Vivaro-e.”
“Interest in Vauxhall electric vehicles, both vans and cars, is strong and growing. Vauxhall has a wide range of EVs on sale at affordable prices, including the all-new fully-electric Combo-e van that launches later this year. We are very much looking forward to welcoming customers back safely into our network this month.”
Van Ninja have seen similar sales performance in their van leasing division, with Combo Cargo vans a very popular lease option among sole traders and small businesses. This year to date, 59% of all small vans leased by Van Ninja have been Vauxhall Combo Cargo variants.
This is due, we believe, to several factors.
Vauxhall, as a brand, are highly respected in the industry. The Sportive models, which make up the majority of our Vauxhall van leases, come with all the additions you are looking for in a van. Many customers come to us asking specifically for Vauxhall, which we are happy to provide.
At Van Ninja, we can offer great terms on any Vauxhall van lease, from Combo Cargo to Movano. Our competitive prices make the Combo Cargo an attractive option for any customer who is not looking for a specific brand or model.
The final incentive for customers choosing Vauxhall is the lead time. In the current climate, there is a shortage of stock across the UK of all Light Commercial Vehicles. With Vauxhall, Van Ninja have secured stock of a range of vehicles that are ready built and good to go. Any customer in need of a new van urgently can have a new Vauxhall van lease in a few weeks instead of the current 3 month lead time of a factory order.
Contact Van Ninja today to discuss a Vauxhall van lease, and find out why the Combo Cargo is the UK’s best-selling small van.
