Following Citroen’s announcement that their orderbooks are open for their new LCV range, another Stellantis manufacturer has followed suit. FIAT’s updated range is now available to order, with production to begin in time for Spring delivery.
The new FIAT LCV range comes in two trim levels, standard and Primo, to keep things simple for customers. FIAT are confident that these two trims will provide enough choice, considering that even the standard version comes with a comprehensive feature list.
FIAT Doblò
The diesel version of the Doblò is available with two power ratings, a 100ps manual and a 130ps automatic. It is fitted with a host of features, even at the lowest trim level, including Lane Keep Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, and High Beam Assist. A smart phone station with two USB ports also comes as standard.
The Primo variant upgrades the infotainment system to a 10” touchscreen and Apple CarPlay.
The new Doblò has a fully reworked interior, including new steering wheel, upgraded seat fabrics, and more ergonomical dash.
Looking at the electric version, the E-Doblò has a 50kWh battery that provides 136PS and a WLTP range of up to 205 miles. Fast chargers can recharge 80% of the battery within 30 minutes. Additionally, the E-Doblò is fitted with an ePTO, an electric socket that can supply power to a tool or set up a mobile workshop.
FIAT Scudo
The entry-level FIAT Scudo is an upgrade on the previous version, and is available in two trim levels and two lengths. Features include selective door locking, advanced emergency braking system and driver attention alert.
The higher trim Primo variant is fitted with Dynamic Surround View, with digital rear view mirror and lateral side view, front & rear park assist, flankguard detection of fixed obstacles, Visiopark 190, blind spot detection and foldable mirrors.
Two diesel engine variants are available, offering 120ps and 145ps.
The E-Scudo has a WLTP battery range of up to 217 miles, and is fitted with a 7.4kW onboard charger, which can be upgraded to 11kW if required.
Additional features across all variants include a refurbished instrument cluster and a 10” central touchscreen.
FIAT Ducato
FIAT’s heavy-duty offering, the Ducato, is available in 3 lengths and 3 heights to give customers the maximum choice when it comes to payload space.
Both 140ps and 180ps engines can be opted for with a 90litre fuel tank. Standard features on the FIAT Ducato include a rear view parking camera, rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed assist.
The automatic variant of the Ducato, when combined with some option packs, is also capable of level two autonomous driving. The combination of adaptive cruise control with ‘Stop & Go’ function, lane positioning assist and traffic jam assist enables the Ducato to steer, brake and accelerate itself at speeds up to 18mph – for example in slow traffic – provided that the driver’s hands remain on the steering wheel.
The E-Ducato is powered by a 272ps electric motor which, when combined with the 110kWh battery, can cover up to 261miles (WLTP) on a single charge. This battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in under an hour.
