The Combo Cargo is Vauxhall’s entry into the small van market. Winning a host of Van of the Year awards for 2019, the Combo Cargo is very highly thought of in the industry. It’s not hard to see why, when you look at its great fuel economy, load space, and range of additional options.

Fuel economy pushes 70mpg on the Sportive, and is only slightly lower on the Edition, compared to around 60mpg on the Ford Transit Courier. Choose between 75hp or 100hp engines which both provide good acceleration under full payload.

Speaking of payload, the Combo Cargo excels in this department, with the ability to carry up to 1 ton in the back. The load area was designed specifically to fit two Euro pallets inside, and the 180° rear doors allow unobstructed loading and unloading.

The Combo Cargo Edition is the standard vehicle provided by Van Ninja and is perfect for urban transport. Vauxhall’s midrange van is the Vivaro. It is available in both 2700 and 2900 versions, providing excellent load capacity for its class. The FlexCargo system on the Sportive model allows for even more space by opening the bulkhead to load all the way to the passenger side footwell.

Vivaro has always been a popular van in the UK, not least because it is built here, and in 2019 it received a significant revamp. The update improved the driver experience greatly by giving the van a roomy cab with a very good driving position. Responsive handling and a smooth gearbox can make you forget you are driving a medium van, as the vehicle can feel very much like driving a passenger car.

Twin side doors allow for easy loading and unloading, and with rear doors that can open to 180°, the Vivaro grants unobstructed access to the load area. The Vivaro also has a hands-free door opening system, meaning you can open and close the side or rear doors even with your hands full.

The 120hp engine is more than sufficient for the Vivaro’s weight class and accelerates well in both urban and motorway situations. The latest models meet the Euro6 standard of consumption and CO2 emissions.

The Vauxhall Vivaro is ideal for couriers and delivery drivers, whether local or longer-range. An impressive load capacity coupled with good handling and strong fuel economy put the Vivaro in a good place in the market.

The Vauxhall Vivaro offers better MPG at a lower monthly price than the similarly-sized Ford Transit Custom and the Mercedes Vito.

Movano is Vauxhall’s large van solution. With a payload of over 1400kg and an internal load length of 3.7 metres, it is designed for sheer load capacity.

A recent facelift has brought the Movano into line with most other large vans of its class. A high driving position, responsive steering, and a host of driving aids and features provide a comfortable drive even on long journeys. The cab is packed with storage options to keep everything organised while driving, and the central seat folds down into a table that fits a laptop or workbook.

The 135hp engine is more than enough to keep the Movano moving smoothly under load. Even at maximum weight, the van handles well in both urban and motorway environments. Features such as lane assist, crosswind assist, and traction control help keep the Movano on the road in all weather conditions.

The Vauxhall Movano offers great value for money compared to the costlier Ford Transit 350 or Volkswagen Crafter while offering equal or better MPG and load capacity than its competitors.
