Ford Transit 350

The UK’s favourite van. The Ford Transit is a familiar sight on the UK’s roads and is highly recommended among businesses throughout the country. Ford’s biggest strengths are handling and reliability. The Transit has sharp, responsive steering even under full load, and the cab presents a very good driving position.

We have a range of different sized Ford Transits on our website, with a variety of features, from L2H2 all the way up to L4H3. You sacrifice a little payload weight to allow for the larger vehicles, but if load space is more important than weight then the larger van might be right for your business.

A couple of different engine sizes, 130hp and 185hp, may also factor into your decision depending on how much engine power you expect to need.

The Double Cab version fits an additional row of seats into the van at the expense of a little load space. This means you can take your whole team to the site without needing extra transport, and still bring all your tools and parts with you.

Peugeot Boxer

The Boxer is the van you need if your primary concern is payload. It can carry the most cargo in its class at 1495kg.

Peugeot have kept the Boxer fairly limited when it comes to features, which has allowed us in turn to keep the price down.

You’ll find that the Boxer is incredibly good value for money, which makes it ideal for start-ups and new traders looking for a van to get them going.

The 13m2 load space can fit a lot of kit inside, whether that’s tools, parts, or parcels. It’s easy to load and unload, and handles well no matter how much you pack into it.

Currently, we only have 1 variant of the Peugeot Boxer on our website. This is due to the excellent price we could get for this specific version. We are able to source other versions of the 3.5t van if required, but our recommendation is of course with the large van lease we have listed.

Vauxhall Movano

The Van Ninja website features two versions of the Vauxhall Movano, L2H2 and L3H2. The L3 has an extra 700mm length in the load area, and can carry 1431kg over the L2’s 1329kg. Both are very capable vehicles, with good fuel economy and powerful engines which meet the Euro 6 standards for emissions.

As with Citroen, Vauxhall put a lot of focus into the driver experience. Released in 2019, the new model greatly improved the driver experience, with a better view and smoother controls.

A range of driving aids come as standard, including electronic brake force distribution, hill start assist, side wind assist and many more.

The Movano has a few extra features over the Boxer or Relay, but is not quite as kitted out as the Crafter or Transit, and is priced to match. It is an excellent large van to lease that sits in the middle of the Van Ninja range.

Citroen Relay

The Relay is a very similar vehicle to the Peugeot Boxer, with a lot of parts reused between the two vehicles. There are a few differences, as Citroen like to add their own touch to their vans.

Citroen like to push driver convenience, and as such they have added a lot of features to their large van offering. The cab is packed with storage compartments, shelves and trays, including a central dash-mounted clipboard to hold your order form or delivery notice. Another bonus is the refrigerated lockable glove compartment.

As with the Boxer, the Citroen Relay can carry 1495kg inside its spacious load area. This makes it one of the best vehicles to choose if you’re looking for sheer carrying capacity.

The Citroen Relay sits at the lower end of the price bracket for large van leases, and due to this presents very good value for money. A Relay would be a very good choice for any business that needs to maximise carrying capacity.

Mercedes Sprinter

Sprinter is possibly the best known van after the Transit, and the large van has served UK companies and sole traders for many years.

Van Ninja have a few Sprinter variants listed, including L2H2 and L3H2 in both front and rear wheel drive variants. The rear wheel drive ensures you remain in full control while fully loaded.

All new lease Sprinters come with Mercedes Roadside and Rescue Assistance to keep you on the road as long as possible, though with Mercedes renowned precision engineering and reliability, you hopefully won’t need to use it.

Mercedes have fitted their Sprinters with powerful engines to keep them responsive and swift, with 143hp and 163hp engines available in the variants listed here.

While the Mercedes Sprinter costs a little more than some of the other large van lease offers we have available, it also comes with a lot more features. You’ll find it remains competitive in price when you look at the van’s performance and build quality.

Volkswagen Crafter

The VW Crafter is the premium brand at Van Ninja. With both the Startline and Trendline available, there’s a great choice of features and specifications you can choose from.

Volkswagen have packed the Crafter with state-of-the-art features, to give you the most comfortable, least stressful drive possible. Attention monitoring, lane keeping, parking aids, and more help you while on the road, and light, responsive steering will make you feel like you are driving a smaller van.

Choose from either a 102hp or a 140hp engine depending on your requirements. Either handles well under load, and the large van is a confident drive whether on city streets or the motorway.
